TCW Actuarial Pty Ltd (Tellyros, Costa & Whale Actuarial) was founded in 2017 by John Tellyros and fellow consulting actuaries who previously worked at Bendzulla Actuarial, the firm that became Accurium.
We chose to stay small, independent, and software-agnostic on purpose. We don't run an SMSF administration platform, sell technical advice subscriptions, or lock clients into an ecosystem. We sign certificates, accurately and quickly.
That focus is why we charge one flat fee of $80 + GST per certificate. You're paying for an actuary's signature — not a marketing budget, a webinar program, or a software platform.
Our actuaries
John Tellyros
John has over 20 years of consulting actuarial experience across SMSF certificates, defined benefit superannuation, family law valuations, life interest reports, and economic loss quantification. Based in Hobart, Tasmania, John leads TCW's family law and defined benefit work.
Dr Gaurav Khemka
Gaurav is our consulting actuary based in Canberra. He has a PhD in Actuarial Studies and Statistics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. As an academic, his main research area is the quantitative analysis of optimal decision making across an individual's financial life cycle. Gaurav's consulting focus is on valuation of employee share options and long service leave liabilities, optimal retirement choice under both DB and DC schemes, and investment strategy.
